The FBI has gold fever!
Back in March 2018, FBI agents descended on a remote wooded area in Pennsylvania and started digging. The G-Men were mum about their purpose at the time, saying only that agents were there executing a court-authorized excavation of “what evidence suggested may have been a cultural heritage site.” But recently released documents reveal that the feds were on a treasure hunt.
Have you heard about the guy who’s spent five years in federal prison because he won’t give up the location of about 500 gold coins he found in a historic shipwreck?
Yes. Five years.
How many years would you spend in prison for millions in gold?
You can stop looking now. It took 10 years but somebody finally found the treasure.
Well, you missed out. You could have been $100,000 richer. But you didn’t plunk down $25 for a map. And you’re probably not in Canada.
Too bad. As my dad used to say, “When you snooze, you lose.”
But a few people did cash in on a treasure hunt up in the Great White North. And those folks are $100,000 better off for their efforts.
